The effectiveness of the extract in reducing wrinkles was assessed by visual scoring based on photographic scales. After six weeks, we observed significant reductions in wrinkle scores in the corners of the eyes or lower eyelid skin compared to controls. After nine weeks, similar results were obtained. Taken together, our results suggest that horse chestnut extract can generate contractile forces in fibroblasts and is a potent anti-aging ingredient.
